How does this work?
Let me tell you what to expect in the Zone.
When and where are the lessons?
You can do your lessons at any time on any days. You might do them once a week, once a day, or something different. Each lesson should take about half an hour.
You can use a computer or a tablet to do your lessons. I don’t recommend using a phone because the screen is so little!
What are the lessons like?
See and hear the big idea.
These videos will introduce you to the big idea in each lesson.
Try it by yourself.
Then it’s your turn to try some games and activities that teach the big idea.
Answer a few questions.
Do a self check to see if you understand the big idea.
Are there tests and quizzes?
There are no grades! There are Check It questions to help you know if you know your stuff. But if you get the wrong answer to a question, you just try it again.
Also, you get badges to show off what you have learned. You get a new digital badge after every three lessons.
How do I get help?
Your course home page has a blue button that says Contact Teacher. Use that button to get help.
In each Check It section you get a chance to share your anonymous opinion of the lesson. If you type a question for me in that survey, I won’t know how to contact you.
